IAC is a federally funded non-profit organization set up to help SMEs in the cleantech sector with IP strategy.
In addition to being a lawyer, Sharon is also a patent agent and a trademark agent. Sharon has nearly 20 years of professional experience in all areas of IP, from front-end IP protection and strategy development to IP-related corporate transactions and litigation, and in a wide range of industries, including high-tech, pharmaceutical, and energy. Sharon has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from UBC and worked in R&D in the telecommunications sector prior to her legal career.

Erin is a thought leader and champion for the importance of having an IP strategy. She has spearheaded numerous initiatives to advocate for the importance of IP strategy across the innovation ecosystem. Erin teaches that creating effective IP strategies is a learned business skill and breaks things down into series of manageable tasks that support a company’s ability to grow and scale.
