Whether you’re new to data visualization, want to create impactful charts, or consider yourself an expert, join us for an evening of fun, surprise, and learning. Award-winning data scientist Eugene Chen, whose work has been viewed by millions and shared on media outlets like the New York Times and CBC, will walk through a selection of viral and impactful visualizations in person. He’ll break down what made them work well and share his framework for assessing the potential success of visualizations.
We’ll also collectively play a few games Eugene has built using ChatGPT and data visualization techniques over two weekend hackathons, and see how he used Generative AI to integrate storytelling for his recently published paper on AI in puzzle games. He’ll answer any questions you have, and we’ll gather informally after for a networking session with and for attendees.
