Introduction to Data Literacy

March 16, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

About this event

Join us on Thursday, March 16th as we continue the Data Series. In this “Lunch & Learn” webinar, you will be joined by local IT professional, Harjot Singh, as he introduces you to Data Literacy, to understand what data is and how it can be used.

Being data literate means being able to work with data, including understanding how it is collected, stored, and analyzed. It also means having the ability to communicate data effectively, such as by creating visualizations or reports that convey insights and conclusions.

In today’s data-driven world, data literacy is becoming an increasingly important skill. It can help individuals make informed decisions, improve business performance, and drive innovation in various fields.

This session is the second of a 3-part series, which will be wrapped up by bringing everyone together for a mini “hackathon” style Data Crunch Challenge. Free and open to the public, this event is for everyone open to learning (or enhancing!) a new skill set.
