Introduction to Tableau Analytics Software

March 14, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

About this event

How can data be analyzed? Why is it important? How can understanding data help you to improve your business?

Join us on Tuesday, March 14th as we kick off part 1 of the Data Series. In this “Lunch & Learn” webinar, you will be joined by Public Finance Economist and owner of Vector Research, Paul Kishchuk, as he introduces you to Tableau Analytics Software.

This one-hour session will cover :

  1. The difference between analytics software (Tableau, Power BI) and spreadsheet software (Excel)
  2. How Tableau can be used to create interactive and dynamic visualizations
  3. Steps to follow to start building your own interactive visualizations using Tableau Public (the free version of Tableau)

This session is the first of a 3-part series, which will be wrapped up by bringing everyone together for a mini “hackathon” style Data Crunch Challenge. Free and open to the public, this event is for everyone open to learning (or enhancing!) a new skill set.
